The Confluence Dining Table puts a Dust & Spark twist on the classic mid-mod and Scandinavian dining table designs by bringing in an element of raw fabrication. The table features a 1" thick solid hardwood top resting on a clean steel tube frame. The unique detail is at the corners: the tapered round wood legs insert seamlessly into the patina'd steel frame. It creates an incredible point of intersection between the two materials.
Like our custom commissions, what you don't see matters just as much as what you do. The underside of the tabletop is sanded with the exact same care as the top , and the hidden welds are executed for absolute strength. The dining table is an anchor in the home for daily routines and milestones. We handcraft each one to carry those memories with beauty and strength for generations to come.

Wood Finish: Zero-VOC hard-wax oil that enhances the natural wood tones
Metal Finish: Hand-applied reactive patina finish in Blackened or Japanese Brown tones with oil sealer

Each piece is unique in wood grain, slight color tone variations, and might include small, filled/stabilized knots and checking. We don’t try to hide the way nature made the tree, but rather embrace it. Our metal patinas are hand applied and each piece of steel reacts in a unique way including beautiful shifting color tones and hues that are an intentional, inherent part of the “living finish”.

We wanted to design an accent piece that completely eliminates hardware and fasteners, relying purely on Newton’s law and precise machining. The Gravity Side Table features a curvy solid wood base that rises up to encase a heavy, 3/16" thick round steel top. There are no screws holding the metal down; the plate simply sets into place using gravity to keep it secure, while the wood legs lock it in from side to side. It’s a tactile, unexpected piece that highlights the raw contrast of wood and steel.

This matching bench to our Confluence Dining Table is a clean, linear companion designed to keep your dining space feeling open. It uses the same hand-patina'd steel frame and solid wood construction, scaled to slide completely underneath the table frame when you need to clear the floor.

Zero-VOC Hard-Wax Oils: We finish our residential wood pieces with premium hard-wax oils that enhance the natural, raw character of the grain. It’s completely non-toxic and home-safe. Better yet, it builds a piece ready for real life: if your table gets scratched years down the road, you can easily spot-repair the area right where it sits—no stripping or full sanding required.
Patina Steel Finishes: Our steel elements are hand-finished using artisanal reactive patinas to create an alive, variegated appearance. Coated in a deep oil/resin mixture to seal the metal, these finishes are designed to naturally evolve and deepen in character over time.
Blackened: A deep, industrial profile with subtle tonal shifts that catch the shifting light.
Japanese Brown: A rich tone highlighting warm, earthy, and rustic undertones.
Responsible Sourcing: Our steel is strictly U.S.-made and infinitely recyclable. Our domestic hardwoods are sourced adhering to strict responsible forestry standards, frequently utilizing salvaged urban trees saved from storms or development.
